Is the water really Hospira brand?
Yes. Every kit includes a sealed 30 mL multi-dose vial of Bacteriostatic Water for Injection, USP, manufactured by Hospira, a Pfizer company. We don't substitute brands, ever.
What is bacteriostatic water?
Sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol, a preservative that allows repeated withdrawals from the same multi-dose vial. It is used to dilute or dissolve products for injection according to their labeling.
How long does an opened vial last?
Hospira's labeling advises that an opened vial of bacteriostatic water should be discarded after 28 days.
